Something about the atmosphere of a local coffee shop tends to spark both connection and creativity. Whether it is spending time catching up with friends over a latte or diving into study sessions with friends, these spots make for a great change from the campus scenery. Some of Evangel student's favorite places to study are Eurasia Coffee Co., Kingdom Coffee, and The Potter's House.

Evangel University’s Fine Arts Gallery is hosting an exhibit by American artist, Bill G. Yung, titled "Artistic Problem-Solving at Work and Play." The exhibit will be open from Jan. 24 to March 24. Featured in the exhibit are Yung’s detailed bird carvings, birdhouses and vintage tractor replicas made from wood and metal. As a landscape architect with over 50 years of experience, Yung works with a variety of materials, including paint, wire and pen and ink. The gallery, located in the Barnett Fine Arts Center, is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is free.
Love (or lack thereof) at Evangel University
Valentine’s Day is a time when Evangel University students experience love, heartbreak and everything in between. Based on previous years, campus trends are clear: 15 percent of students are third-wheeling their roommate’s romantic evening, while 25 percent are hoping their cleverly worded Canvas discussion post will finally catch their crush’s attention. Fifteen percent are already on the fast track to a “ring by spring,” and 10 percent are outsourcing their love letters to AI (because why risk embarrassment?). Meanwhile, 20 percent are secretly after their TA but remain too shy to make a move, and 15 percent are only in it for the free food.
Whether you are celebrating this Valentine’s Day with a date, your friends or a pint of ice cream, just know that Evangel loves you!

Quentin Edwards was named KCAC Baseball Player of the Week after a standout performance in a 2-2 doubleheader against College of the Ozarks. The first baseman hit .600 on the weekend with six hits, including two doubles, while driving in seven RBIs. Edwards also delivered the go-ahead home run in game two, securing head coach Sam Jones his first collegiate win as a coach. This marks Edwards' first time earning the conference honor.
