As religion appears with growing force in the political, economic, social and cultural life of a globalizing world, its representation in various media, electronic and print, likewise grows in importance.
This Florida Department of Education authorized ministry degree is a 36-credit MA program that provides education and training for ordained clergy with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree seeking a vocation as professional newspaper, magazine, or broadcast media communications specialists with an expertise in religious life.
The courses are intended to provide the Pastor with the theoretical tools necessary to examine modern religious life and the issues that surround it in conjunction with training in journalistic writing, research, and ethics.
This course is offered under the Interreligious Studies Department.
Transfer credits: A maximum of eight (8) graduate credits may be accepted towards this degree.
REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Journalism, English, Education, Media Communications
Ordination diploma (Not license) INTERNET ORDINATIONS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
Endorsed/credentialed by a denominational presiding leader or Bishop or denomination
Modern Language: Conversational Level 6 credits minimum
