Sappi Limited announced today that it has concluded an agreement with AURELIUS Investment Lux One S.à.r.l. (“AURELIUS”) regarding the divesture of its Maastricht Mill in the Netherlands, its Stockstadt Mill in Germany and its Kirkniemi Mill in Finland.

Last month, volumes at the Port of Los Angeles fell below both Port of Long Beach and the Port of New York and New Jersey, making PANYNJ the top port in North America by container volume for the period. PANYNJ moved more than 843,000 TEU in the month of August, setting a new August record, according to CNBC. Long Beach moved about 807,000 TEU, just barely edging out Los Angeles' 805,000 TEU.

Final statistics from the Association of American Publishers show that sales in 2021 topped $29 billion, with all categories posting increases. The most notable improvement in 2021 was in the pre-K–12 instructional materials category, where sales jumped 25.3%, to $4.81 billion (the highest they’ve been in five years)

Following aggressive lobbying efforts from the ACMA, its partner organizations the Coalition for a 21st Century Postal Service and Keep Us Posted, and others with mailing interests, today Rep. Gerold Connolly (D-VA, at right) introduced the Ensuring Accurate Postal Rates Act. If passed into law, the bill will require the Postal Regulatory Commission to conduct a follow-up review of the postal rate-making process.
