Hey, Evangel!

Welcome to our first Valor Media newsletter of the fall! As you are settling into this semester, we have some exciting updates and inspiring stories to share from around campus.

From changes in Scott Hall and updates to the Riggs Administration building to the first annual Young Adults Conference, there’s plenty to catch up on. We’re also gearing up for Homecoming Week, a great time to reconnect with alumni and celebrate our Evangel family.

Big changes are stirring in Scott Hall this fall. Previously an all men’s dorm, Scott has now transitioned to dual occupancy, merging with Spence Hall. Scott Hall Resident Director Hayes Carpenter says the switch has brought a renewed sense of community, with more students and exciting events planned for the semester. Young adults came together at Evangel University’s first annual Young Adults Conference in September. With guest speakers, worship and after-service activities, the three-day event brought together EU students and young adults from the community. Attendees left ready to pursue the plans God has for their lives.
 

EU Football and Volleyball are making their mark this season. Football is off to a strong start with a 3-0 record, while volleyball is holding an impressive 14-2 record, highlighted by the first win in the AG Financial Arena.

EU Unseen acknowledges the essential behind-the-scenes employees who play vital roles in keeping Evangel operational.

Evangel Secret Places reveals hidden gems around campus, highlighting the unique and remarkable aspects of everyday life at Evangel University.
 

Since its founding in 1955, Evangel University has awarded over 20,000 degrees, with each one representing the achievement of a student who is now part of the Evangel alumni community. As Homecoming Week kicks off, it’s the perfect time to reconnect with fellow alumni and celebrate the lasting impact of an Evangel education.
